The time for Stoner freedom is now.
There are 3 bills proposed to congress:
Hinchey-Rohrabacher medical Marijuana Amendment This bill will
protect Medical marijuana patients from the federal government in states with medical marijuana
programs.
H.R. 5842 This
will end Marijuana being a Schedule 1 drug, and allows states to operate
medical marijuana programs without interference from the Federal
Government.
H.R. 5843 This will decriminalize Marijuana for personal use of
adults, with a personal limit of 100 grams, and a not-for-profit
exchange of an ounce (28.3g).
Why are these bills important?
The body naturally
produces endogenous cannabinoids.
Some people don’t produce the proper amount,
or the correct balance, thus drawing people into the habitual intake of
cannabinoids. Injury and disease can further upset the
Endocannabinoid system; the deficiency seems to be
genetic for
20%-30%
of the population.
For the government to be targeting this group of people, for
a genetic condition is a breach of civil rights.
Pharmaceutical companies have had a corner
on the medical market.
Marijuana is much cheaper, and can’t be
patented because it is organic.
Marijuana has far fewer side effects and
complications than lab built pharmaceuticals.
Making cannabis available can
increase health and wellness in many people, especially those who could
just use marijuana instead
of 6 different prescriptions.
These bills will stop
wasting tax money on pursuing users of a drug that heals many and harms none. Since
1990, 5.9
million people have been arrested on Marijuana charges.
With two foreign wars, our country needs to
reduce unnecessary costs.
