‘REEFER MADNESS’ Killed My Sister

      My sister was buried yesterday.  Patricia Agnes died of Liver Cancer at 62.  God, rest her soul.  She never drank, smoked and ate a healthy diet. She had a medical marijuana permit but she never smoked marijuana in her life.   She believed the ‘Reefer Madness’ Lie that Cannabis was a drug like meth or heroin.  Why else would it be a crime to use it?   The doctors and everyone did their best but …..  It’s the Cannabinoids, Stoopid. 

      Everybody needs cannabinoids to be healthy.  When your body does not produce sufficient cannabinoids, you need to supplement with plant cannabinoids from medical marijuana to be healthy.  A search of Google, Google News and a visit to Wikipedia will convince you every human has cannabinoids.   Every creature from the dinosaurs to humans has needed cannabinoids. Unlike alcohol, nicotine, meth or other drugs, a health body makes the cannabinoids it needs. 

      People become sick because they can not make the cannabinoids they need; people like my sister, Patricia Agnes.  Recent studies have shown how cannabinoids slow the growth of tumors like Pat’s cancer.

      Three years ago, Patricia came to me asking for help.  She felt discomfort below her ribs; not really pain but pressure & heat.  Pat’s doctor said she was in good health.  Her doctor thought she might need anti-depressants.  But Pat was still concerned; concerned enough to consult with me, the ‘family drug addict’; I am an Oregon Medical Marijuana Patient & Grower and natural wellness advocate.

      We talked for a while about our genetic condition that made us susceptible to auto-immune diseases.  I said what your doctor thought might be ‘depression’ may not be the issue but just a symptom.

      Pat took ¼ of an Angel Oil Cookie  and the pressure subsided almost immediately.   After a few cookies of over a few days she became convinced the Cookies were helping her.  She continued to get good results and felt healthier in general.  We started a cellular renewal nutrition program.   Pat was never high but felt healthy all the time.   Her husband & sons and her prayer group supported her health renewal.

      Then, Pat went to our siblings- the Judge, the Nurse, the Bishop, the Teacher, several Business people.  But they were not interested in how she felt and discouraged her from continuing with medical cannabis.  Pat started feeling guilty; that she was a drug addict, bad, weak, and a sinner.  Pat was concerned about her career as a teacher.  Combined with family disapproval, it was too much emotional pressure.

      She tried to quit Angel Oil but she kept feeling bad inside again; so she would have a cookie and feel guilty and then quit again.  By trying to quit the Angel Oil cookies, she spread a 6 month supply over 18 months.  Pat had her last Angel Oil cookie about a year ago.  I encouraged her to continue; she said she did not.  Two months later Pat was diagnosed with Liver Cancer in July 2007.

      Discouraged by siblings and trusting allopathic chemo, Pat waited 6 months after her diagnosis to contact me about Angel Oil again.  The chemo failed and she was given 6-12 months to live.    She started on the Angel Oil Cookies again and the cellular nutrition.  But the chemo had taken its toll on her.  She could not eat much; everything made her feel sick.  But she still would not smoke marijuana.  Even when it was the only way that would help, she would not smoke.  She would only eat the cookies, which were at that point, too hard to digest.  Pat continued to get worse.

      Another patient with similar liver issues, a nurse, asked for help the same weekend as Pat started taking Angel Oil again.   Janine developed hepatitis because of her statin heart medication.  The doctor could not control it and she was getting very sick.  Janine had never smoked marijuana but one cookie stopped the pressure and burning.  The Angel Oil & Cellular Renewal program brought her Liver issues under control.  Janine is spending the month with her young granddaughters.

      Patricia Agnes died June 11, 2008; 11 months after the cancer was diagnosed.  She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 40 years and her 2 sons.  She was a wife, a mother, a big sister, a teacher, and a gardener.  Pat loved her family, her country and her God. She was a prayer warrior that read the Bible and went to Mass almost every day.  She was most proud of her sons-  both career Navy Special Operatives.  She taught them to make the world a better place and they are.  Loved by so many who knew her golden heart and desire to do good, she will be missed.

      I felt Patricia would want others to know what really happened to her.   Fear, ignorance, intellectual dishonesty, and prejudice are the enemy.  Jesus said ‘the Truth will set you free’.  This is true.  Plant Cannabinoids help many people and the government, family, friends, etc should not make sick people feel guilty for getting well.  Stop this ‘Reefer Madness’; it kills people

Mortgage Meltdown-Update Old Theories with Marijuana

 The mortgage market has crashed; gone to pot.  The NY Times reports Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae stocks are crashing; who knows where they will be next Monday after the Fed buys-bails them out.  The dollar & stock market are falling; oil hit a new record high of $147 per barrel.   Climate change, world food shortage and the Wars continue.  As a modest proposal, I suggest that Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, the FED, McBush needs some marijuana to help them adjust their Eco-economic attitude.  Perhaps a Joint Session of Congress would help.

 No, marijuana will not stop the mortgage meltdown.   The Fed and other financials institution have created this socio-political-economic system of endless inflation & debt.  The Fed always has the same solution; less freedom & more debt for Americans.  The Fed is doing a good job managing the crisis they and their friends created.   We, the people, must become Eco-Entrepreneurs and fix this mess.

 Yes, Marijuana will help the Eco-economy.  Think outside the box for a moment…hemp is 4 times more effective than trees at absorbing CO2; and it grows everywhere like a weed.  Medical Marijuana reduces health care costs, hemp seeds are very nutritious and the hemp stock is a versatile, natural raw material for industrial & consumer products.

 So, why is Marijuana never options for the financial elite?  In 1937, an earlier Congress and Financial Elite made Marijuana illegal in 1937, for their self-serving business interests.  You can not patent natural products like hemp/marijuana.  Marijuana or other Green Enterprises does not fit their outdated economic theories.

The FED represents all the people in the financial system and it speaks for them.  They all accept the ‘FED-Wall Street Party Line’.  These ‘elite workers’ are told not to connect the pieces to the planetary puzzle if they want to keep their jobs and status.  Despite their degrees & resumes, the people running the FED, etc. do not understand economics or ecology.  If they did, we would not be in this planetary mess.

 The economic & ecological policies of Bush-Big Oil-Big Pharma-Federal Reserve Bank-Wall Street have orchestrated a string of serious miscalculations. Recession/Depression-Mortgage Crisis-Climate Change-World Food Shortage-Gas Prices-Inflation-Resource Wars-Loss of Civil Liberties-Debt to China, occurring simultaneously, has our socio-political-economic system in chaos. These failed policies have been based on socio-political-economic theories that ignore planetary ecology and human population growth.

Economic Theories and World Population

 The Universe (God) is Infinite; the Earth is Finite.  Any sustainable economic theory requires a stable ecology-environment to operate.  Economic models can no longer assume natural resources (oil, soil, water & air) are always available.  Population growth no longer just means ‘more customers’.   Existing theories were developed for a smaller population & stable ecology.

 World population has more than doubled since John Kennedy was President.  World population has grown almost 10 times since Capitalism began.  The environment-ecology must be paramount in every decision to manage this increased strain on planetary resources.

 In Eco-Economics, the purpose of business is to make a profit while helping people live sustainably.  With Eco-Economics, ecology is more important than profit or jobs, in most cases.  Environmental protection is a primary role of government, along with Defense, Courts & Commerce-Monetary System.

 Eco-Economics could be called Neo-Schumpeterian because it is based on the Entrepreneur and the Creative Destruction of Capital, the basis of Schumpeter’s theories.  Both individual and corporate entrepreneurship are part of Eco-economics.  As the old economy is ‘creatively destroyed’, eco-entrepreneurs will build a new green, sustainable economy; thus creating new capital.

 Eco-economics strives for diversity of Income Resources.  Checks, Cash, Saving, Trade, Production and Recycling are diverse income resources.  Everyone will still have to pay their mortgage & car payment with Check-Money from Jobs or Investments.  However, other expenses can be avoided or paid with non-check resources.  How you spend your time will determine your mix of income resources.  Diversify your income resources to have more stability in your life; be less dependent on the unstable, leveraged-debt financial system.

 Hemp Eco-entrepreneurs are doing this now around the world.  Federal Prohibition has America behind other nations in the Hemp business.  But it is a local market; and Americans has good, very resourceful farmers.   The Oregon Cannabis Tax Act that would legalize production of hemp is an example of a win-win Eco-economic proposal.  A new green, sustainable eco-industry is ready to happen in America. Marijuana does not solve population issues.  However, hemp can take some pressure off of an economy and ecology that needs relief.

 Other Eco-entrepreneurial businesses include Vermicomposting, Electric Cars, Hydrogen Fuel and many more.  ‘Greening’ your current job or business is Eco-entrepreneurial.  Finding ‘Green opportunities for sales, distribution or training’ is Eco-entrepreneurial.  Even, planting a garden is part of the Eco-economic model.

 Schumpeter felt the attitude of the political-business interests towards entrepreneurs determined how and where an economy grew.  The FEDs attitude and Federal Laws regarding Marijuana are holding back an American Eco-economic boom; they need attitude adjustment.  Perhaps, after this weekend, the FED, Wall Street, Congress and  ‘We, the People’ will develop an Eco-economic perspective that will actually be a sustainable solution.

Medical Marijuana & Health Care Economics

Everybody needs Cannabinoids to be healthy.  When your body does not produce sufficient cannabinoids, you need to supplement with medical marijuana to be healthy.  When President Obama stops DEA raids on medical marijuana everything gets better: Health Care Costs, Medicare & Medicaid, PTSD Veterans, Auto Immune, Autism, ADHD & Chronic Pain Conditions.  By encouraging scientific research, Obama will allow cannabis nutraceutical products to help everyone (when federal law allows), without the Pharmaceutical Industry or taxes or the VA.

 This is ALL True.  It is happening right now.   Part of the solution to all these issues, exists in medical marijuana states. It is time to connect the dots of medical marijuana and the issues facing America today.   We need to live, think & plan sustainably.   We must create eco-friendly, economically sustainable solutions because Washington does not have any answers.

 We are part of the solution.  But we do not want to go to jail.  We are not legalization activists, drug dealers or gang bangers; we are eco-entrepreneurs: aging baby-boomers, PTSD Vets, old hippies with advanced degrees and/or years in alternative health care.  We are ‘out to save the world’; ‘what would Jesus do’ folks. 

 As part of State Medical Marijuana Programs, individual patients (such as myself) have developed cannabis products (home remedy- cookies or brownies or oils) that have dramatic effect on cancer, heart disease, hepatitis, multiple sclerosis, Tourette syndrome, PTSD, chronic pain, Meth & other addictions, depression, autism, ADHD, and many more.  Yes, I have personally helped Oregon Medical Marijuana Patients with all these conditions.  My ‘No-High, healthy, Angel Oil Cookies’ allows medical marijuana benefit without smoking or intoxication.

 There is no group or network but I am not the only cannabis herbalist doing this right now.   The DEA agents are just following orders; Obama will change those orders.  Just leave us alone.  Perhaps some problems exist with medical marijuana laws but we are not the problem.  We are the solution.  Barack Obama is acting like Ronald Reagan, allowing states rights on Medical Marijuana.  We have ‘voted with our feet’.  Send the DEA after Meth and we can help everyone.

Endogenous Cannabinoids-  Every body needs Cannabinoids

 Endocannabinoids are substances produced from within the body.  Similar to a diabetic that does not produce enough insulin, those that need medical marijuana have damaged or weak production of endocannabinoids.  A search of Google and a visit to Wikipedia will convince you every human has cannabinoids.   Every creature from the dinosaurs to humans has cannabinoid receptors.  Unlike alcohol, nicotine, meth or other drugs, a health body makes the cannabinoids it needs.  People are sick because they can not make the cannabinoids they need.

Your body has CB1 receptors in the brain and the body makes Anandamide to bond at CB1, and if you smoke marijuana that is where the THC likes to go.  CB2 receptors are primarily found in the Immune system and body makes 2-AG to bond to the CB2 receptors, which are found primarily in the Immune systems.  As THC breaks down, the metabolite cannabinoids bond to the CB2 Receptors.

 Simultaneous use of multiple cannabinoids affecting the CB2 receptors in the Immune System may explain why medical marijuana works and why cannabis is difficult to study in laboratories.  Labs do not have multi-species cannabis grows to get different cannabinoids.   Endocannabinoids are produced as needed by the body rather than stored, making them difficult to study.

Plant Cannabinoids-  Every body likes them; some bodies need them.

 Plant Cannabinoids only come from hemp (marijuana) plants.  These cannabinoids (just not THC) are present in Hemp Oils or Hemp Foods.  Until 70 years ago, plant cannabinoids were a staple of every pharmacy and part of a healthy diet.  Then, Reefer Madness, the Tobacco Lobby and Big Pharma….. and sick people are criminals.

 The body prefers Plant Cannabinoids over Endogenous Cannabinoids.  When you consume Plant Cannabinoids, they displace Endogenous Cannabinoids.  The Marijuana High occurs during this transition.  However, for those with damaged endogenous cannabinoids that have regular use of Plant Cannabinoids, these patients do not really get high; only comfortable & relaxed.

 Use of Alcohol overpowers the Plant Cannabinoids; increasing impairment and decreasing the health benefit.   Most people’s negative experiences with marijuana are preceded by alcohol consumption; they failed to observe the old stoner adage-  Bongs before Beers; NOT Beers before Bongs.

 Plant Cannabinoids are part of a regeneration nutrition that is needed by a portion of the population.  We design products & dosage for patients health condition and age. 

Health Care Costs- PTSD, Medicare & Medicaid

 Without cannabinoids, these people can not work, they get sicker and health care costs go up.   With proper treatment, the chronic conditions get better, health care costs go down and they go back to work. If a medical marijuana patients have damaged or weak production of endocannabinoids, it would be cheaper to get them feeling healthy and back to work and maybe helping others; rather than putting them in jail.

Let’s call it Cannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome (CDS).  How many people have damaged or weak production of endocannabinoids?  How many people have Cannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome?  Dr. Richard W. Noble saw Cannabinoids as an effective treatment but we did not have a legal method of production.  Prior to his death, Dr. Noble set me on the path to find how to develop Angel Oil as a treatment for Cannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome.

 Dr. Richard Noble, MD (RIP) speculated that Cannabinoid Deficiency affects 20-30 percent of the population.   Dr. Noble included many aging conditions, arthritis, obesity and auto-immune disorders.  Dr. Noble agreed with David E. Comings, M.D. (Tourette Syndrome and Human Behavior) that said many auto-immune and behavioral conditions were linked to a common unidentified, genetic issue.  Dr. Comings linked Anxiety, Autism, ADHD, OCD, Depression, Eating Disorders, Hyperactivity, Stuttering, Tics and more.   Dr. Comings had not found a common explanation.  We feel the connection between all these conditions is Cannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome.   Why? Because properly administered Cannabinoids make patients with these conditions better.

 This 20-30% with CDS approximates the percent of the population are that uses marijuana regularly.   They are self medicating; forced to deal with criminals because they have to survive and live normal lives.  They need a better source of Cannabinoids than smoking BC Bud that they get from a dealer that probably sells other drugs.

 Veterans with PTSD are helped with Cannabinoids.  My friend and colleague, Dr. Philip Leveque, has written extensively in Salem-News.com about veterans and medical marijuana.  Marijuana helps PTSD.  Yes, Cannabinoid therapy is the answer to PTSD.  Helping PTSD Vets is something we can do about the War now.

 If you reduce the Health Care Costs of 20-30% the population and help PTSD Vets, it will add up fast.  It costs nothing to find out if Cannabinoid therapies are effective in reducing health care costs.  How much savings?  Too many variables to calculate.  But billions saved with healthier, happier people; everybody wins.

 Big Pharma vs. Little Farma

 If a person can not afford health care, they can produce their own cannabinoid medicines in their backyard and make cookies in their kitchen.  Marijuana has never killed or even hurt anyone; neither will home-made cannabis medicines.  Does anyone really care if old hippies are smoking marijuana and eating cookies?  What does it cost anyone?

It costs the pharmaceutical industry.  They can not get a patent on natural products, so they are trying to produce synthetic cannabinoids that can be patented.  They do about the same thing; but they are just one cannabinoid. Synthetic cannabinoids are not as effective and very expensive.  We, medical stoners know synthetic cannabinoids are a joke.  Let Big Pharma try….God makes better cannabinoids than Big Pharma. 

It is time to connect the dots of Medical Cannabis.  By allowing the development of cannabinoid medicines, we can make people healthier, reduces Health Care Costs to the benefit of everyone.  Just lets us help each other; without the federal government’s help or inference.
